Quest for Glory I: So You Want To Be A Hero, by Michael Goins.
I know it’s off by a room or two in a couple of places, but otherwise pretty accurate. Spent a lot (lot lot lot) of time playing this game. (I like QFG II more but it doesn’t lend itself to very interesting mapping, unless you actually walked everywhere, in which case you are a crazy)

It doesn’t happen so much anymore, but sometimes when I have insomnia my sleep deprived mind will be compelled to mentally retrace dimly remembered routes from my hometown, or recreate the floor layouts of defunct department stores from my youth, or even map out video games or complicated plot lines from books and movies.  It could be anything complex yet trivial.  I used to love Sierra games, and seeing these maps reminded me of that weird link that exists for me between maps and nostalgia.  Now I want to play some Quest for Glory!
